Omlet

Ok...so this is Omlet ---- I know, it has nothing to do with an omlette.  This is a pattern I found by reading the Yarn Harlot's blog. She is an amazing writer/knitter. The original pattern is on knitty.com and it is... you guessed it....in egg yolk yellow. Hence the name "Omlet". Now, since I don't like yellow and I am making this for my future daughter in law, I chose purple as her wedding shoes are purple. I can only hope the colour matches. I was to have this finished and blocked by tomorrow 12 pm. I don't think I'll make it. So I will print a photo for her instead to put into the shower card. I hope she likes it. I have renamed it "Easter Omlet".

Butterflies

So I have big butterflies in my tummy. I just accepted another job and j haven't even quit this one! I don't want to quit. I am afraid of the repercussions. Will they let me finish the two weeks or walk me out. It'll be interesting to see what they'll do. I am just so worried about what they'll say to me. I'm sure my friends will be upset. And with the new job there won't be any other women to talk to. Just a couple of guys. Hope it's not boring. But I get Fridays off with alternating Mondays. Wonder if I can get them to implement birthdays off.... Lol

Summers Eve

Two dogs side by side on the love seat in the gazebo. That never happens. Luna usually tries to avoid Ollie. But deep down we know the do love each other.

Summertime

Summertime is great! I love the way the air smells and how everything is so green and fresh looking.
It's too bad summer has to end. It's only July but it's already starting. The flowers are loosing their lustre. The grass is yellow from lack of rain. The garden soil is grey looking and cracking. We need a good couple of days solid rain. A nice summer warm rain. It would make things look beautiful and refreshed. Maybe next week. For now I enjoy my gazebo. I love sitting here first thing in the morning with with my coffee and the newspaper. It reminds me of the cottage. Ahh.... Cottage.
Not this year I'm afraid. Too busy and not enough holidays to take off from work. We need the time in September for our youngest's wedding. Can't. believe it. He's getting married. What's next?...........GRANDBABIES!!!!!! Haha I'm not allowed to say it out loud or it will be one strike for me and I have none as of yet! The mother in law and grandmother in law already have a couple, lol. I'm not sure what happens when they have three strikes. They haven't told us that yet.

So I have lots of knitting and crocheting to do in the next little while. Better get busy.
